Deleting a baseline set

I have created a Bseline set definition with 4 modules. I have created a Baseline set but not added any modules to that. It is still in open status. Now I want to add new modules to Baseline set definition. It's not possible as a baseline set is still open. I want to close baseline set without adding any modules and delete it from database. Is it possible? Who can delete the baseline set from database?

DOORS will let you delete an entire Baseline Set but will not let you delete an individual Baseline Set version, even if the Baseline Set version is empty and contains no checked-in modules. I guess the developers of DOORS didn't consider a scenario where empty Baseline Set versions might occur.

Whilst this is a deficiency of DOORS, it shouldn't cause you any version control problems because it has not altered the version of any of the modules in its defined set - it should be harmless.

If you have not checked-in any modules to the open Baseline Set, then I would suggest that you just close it and ignore that particular Baseline Set version. It shouldn't cause any problems down the track.

After you have made the changes that you need to make, when you open the next Baseline Set version, perhaps consider adding some comments in the New Baseline Set Description text box to highlight that the previous Baseline Set version is invalid and can be ignored.
